Yosemite In Winter!

First adventure of 2016, awww yeah!

I actually wasn’t planning on going to Yosemite, I had booked a room at Sequoia National Park and when I got there I found out the road to see the Sequoia trees was too dangerous to drive on. Big oops

But I didn’t let that ruin my trip since Yosemite wasn’t “that” far away.

I had always wanted to see Yosemite in the winter time and it was amazing! It’s a total winter wonderland, I only had one day there so I didn’t get to do a lot but I managed to make the best of Yosemite Valley. This was my third time there, the other two times were during summer. This time I stayed in the Yosemite Lodge, which I highly recommend because it’s in the middle of all the major things to do/see. I usually rent a cabin in the Redwoods, which is still fun but it’s about an hour drive from everything.

The day we left I got to check out Big Oak Flat Road which overlooks the Merced River… and I missed the one turn out which lets you see the whole thing without any trees in the way. I shall return!

So with all that being said, if you get the chance to see it during the winter it’s completely worth it. But also see it in summer time too! Take Shia Leboufs advice and JUST DO IT!
